How Anxiety Effects In The Workplace And In Kids

Anxiety to a certain level is good for all of us so we can be more cautious and willing to do our best, but when it escalates to a high level causing an anxiety disorder it affects our daily lives in the workplace or school. When there is too much anxiety in our lives, our performance is hurt tremendously.

These anxiety levels usually arise when people feel they are about to become a victim to a situation which they have no control. Most jobs these days do not come with a long-term guaranteed and there can be huge turnovers in jobs or layoffs at any time.

When a person becomes overly anxious at work they lose their perspective of understand and following directions. No matter how careful the employer is to explain to them the process, these anxiety disorders interfere with the employees and the cognitive from the high level of anxiety affects their comprehension. The anxiety disorders can also cause strong emotional reactions such as temper flaring or becoming impatience with fellow peers which can cause permanent damage to working relationships and possibly cause you to lose your job.

There are many anxieties that are good for kids and teach them how to handle daily stresses and experiences but then there are those that get blown completely out of kilter and cause many other problems. As a child grows some anxieties that they suffered when very young will disappear and a new anxiety will take its place. An example might be one that was so scared of the dark and had to have a night light to sleep at a younger age, might in a few years, love ghost stores. As the child grows these anxieties change along with them. It is very important that the parent researches to see if the anxiety that their child is suffering from is appropriate for their age, but most of the anxieties can be resolved if the parent is reassuring, understanding and helps the child work through the anxiety.

If the fear is unreasonable for the situation then you might have a more serious problem and mental health professionals might need to be consulted. If this anxiety is harming your child, or interfering with their daily functions and learning, then you, as the parent need to take note of how the situation occurs and how the child handles it and report this to the doctor also. It is very important as a parent to help teach your child how to learn to cope with these fears and anxieties. They can learn to control these themselves if they are not belittled and scorned because of their fears but if they are taught how to handle and approach them.
